Rodríguez built the Hotel Palmilla in 1956, which was later acquired by Newport Beach-based developer Don Koll in 1984. Koll, who bought the Hacienda property from Parr's heirs in 2005, began exploring the Baja peninsula by plane in 1960. Visionary Koll brought Jack Nicklaus to Cabo, and built the Nicklaus courses at Palmilla and Cabo del Sol. Hacienda's 250 oceanfront villas and view condos will start at $800,000 U.S. for ocean view condominiums, with oceanfront villas $4,000,000 U.S. and up. Hacienda will break ground in Spring 2006reservations are now being accepted on this elite new development in Cabo San Lucas.
